Why this matters

Most link preview bots do not behave like a full browser

Messaging and social platforms commonly fetch a page’s HTML to build a preview. If Open Graph values are missing from that response, a beautiful in-browser page can still produce a blank or generic shared card.

This checker reads the stored audit snapshots and makes the source of each value visible. It does not claim that every platform will render an identical card, because cropping, caching and display rules vary by service.

What are Open Graph tags?+

They are metadata fields such as og:title, og:description and og:image that help social networks and messaging apps build link previews.

Why is my old preview still showing?+

Many platforms cache link previews. After fixing tags, you may need to use the platform’s sharing debugger or wait for its cache to refresh.

Can Open Graph tags be added with JavaScript?+

They can, but many link preview crawlers do not execute page JavaScript. Server-rendered tags in the initial HTML are more reliable.

Does this publish or share my URL?+

No. It fetches the public page for the audit and creates a private-by-link report. It does not post to social networks.
